Reflection on Presentation #2
This was my second experience as a leader of four groups, and to be honest, it went more smoothly than I expected — at least for most of them.
Groups 1, 2, and 4 did an excellent job. They understood the task immediately, divided it among themselves quickly, and worked independently. I barely had to intervene. It was very satisfying to see that everything went so smoothly, without any unnecessary tension.
But with group 3, it was different. There were problems from the very beginning. They didn't want to create an agenda, and I had to communicate with each member individually to find out what they planned to do in their part of the presentation. Some of them didn't respond to messages, and it took almost two days before everyone finally understood what was required of them. There were a lot of questions and confusion, but in the end, they came together and delivered a really good presentation.
It was a bit tiring, but also rewarding. Managing four groups at once is not easy, especially when each one works in their own way. Still, it was nice to see how even the most challenging group was able to get their work done.
Every time I take on this role, I get more out of my comfort zone. I am still learning to be a leader - not just observing from the sidelines, but actually leading people and keeping things in order.
Through this experience, I have learned that leadership doesn't always involve giving orders or being the loudest person in the room. Sometimes, it requires patience, understanding, and calmness in dealing with complex situations. While I may not be an ideal leader yet, I am constantly learning, and each new experience helps me become a little more confident in this role.
